Projects of The Jinnah Society
The recipients of the 13th and 14th Jinnah Awards selected by Members of the Jinnah Society were Mrs. Souriya Anwar, Founder President, SOS Children's Villages Pakistan and Mr. Jimmy Engineer, the well known artist and social worker - to whom the awards were conferred for their outstanding and dedicated services to the people of Pakistan in their respective areas of service.
At a function held on 15th December 2018 at Karachi Marriott Hotel, the two Jinnah Awards were conferred on Mrs. Souriya Anwar and Jimmy Engineer by the former Chairman Senate of Pakistan - Mian Raza Rabbani who was the Chief Guest of the award ceremony. The function was very largely attended by elite of the city and was widely covered by the media and press. A multimedia presentation on Mr. Jinnah was shown at the event.
Mr. Liaquat Merchant - President of the Jinnah Society, Senator Raza Rabbani, Mrs. Souriya Anwar and Mr. Jimmy Engineer also addressed the audience at the function while Ameena Saiyid, Secretary General of the Jinnah Society presented the concluding address.
